An inspiring speech about the ‘Power of Music’:
Music makes people share emotions, intentions and meanings. Music is a way of communicating and this ‘language’ exists over 100,0000 years. Music has been, and still is, very important for human evolution.
The last 20 years I worked with hundreds of the biggest international brands and this taught me that every organisation has its own sound and that music is part of our identities. Personal and corporate.
There are many areas where we can use our musical brain, including health, arts, communication, learning, bonding people and it always heavily affects our emotions and behaviour. Humans are hardwired to seek art, and there are very few things that engage the brain on the level that music does. To understand the neural basis of creativity teaches us something fundamental about who we are and why we’re here.
Plato explained that “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything else.”
But it’s even more now science proves music is fundamental in our survival and can be instrumental in helping Alzheimer, Parkinson and stroke patients.
My goal in life is to make the world a better place and art and music are my tools. My chosen place of work is where people spend most of their time; the companies and organisations they work at.
